RESOLUTION

Dispute Policy

A practical process for listing, bidding, collection and handover concerns.

Effective 15 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-15

Bid & Buy TCI is a listing and bidding platform. It does not take payment, hold funds, inspect items, provide escrow, or become the buyer or seller.

1. Before payment

  • Pause the handover if the item, serial number, included parts or condition differs materially from the listing.
  • Do not pay, transfer a deposit or confirm completion while a material issue remains unresolved.
  • Use platform messages to document the concern and retain photographs, listing details and agreed collection terms.

2. Raise a report

Use “Report listing” and describe the facts without threats or abusive language. Include the listing, issue, relevant timing and requested outcome. Reports are reviewed for platform-rule enforcement; they do not automatically cancel a bid or decide legal rights.

3. Possible platform action

The administrator may review records, ask either party for information, warn or suspend a member, remove content, cancel a live auction where appropriate, or mark the matter closed. Bid & Buy TCI does not seize items, reverse cash or bank payments, compel a refund or issue a binding legal judgment.

4. After payment or urgent safety concerns

Contact the seller promptly and preserve evidence. For suspected theft, fraud, threats, illegal goods or immediate danger, contact the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force or the appropriate public authority. For consumer or civil remedies, obtain advice from a qualified local professional.

5. Fair participation

Repeated no-shows, non-payment, seller refusal, shill bidding, abusive messaging or dishonest reports may lead to restriction. Administrative action is based on available platform records and may be reconsidered if reliable new information is supplied.
